GCE Portfolio

As part of our Signature Learning Experience, students will capture their learning in the areas of global citizenship and equity through the development of a portfolio. Several programs are in the process of developing a Global Citizenship & Equity Portfolio within the curriculum. With portfolios increasingly becoming a professional and industry expectation, this portfolio will distinguish our graduates in the workplace. Employers will know Centennial grads are individuals who are fully aware of their personal and social responsibilities in our diverse and interconnected world.

Who is your Portfolio Global Citizenship and Equity Learning Advisor?

Your Portfolio and GCE Learning Advisor is there to assist you in the process of developing your GCE Portfolio. Contact your Portfolio & GCE Learning Advisor anytime you require assistance or support.

How can my Portfolio GCE Learning Advisor help me?

During meetings with your Portfolio & GCE Learning Advisor you can share your most recent portfolio with the addition of the piece(s) you have chosen to include and accompanying reflections. The purpose of these meetings is to ensure that you understand how the portfolio works as a tool in your learning process, and to give you an opportunity to explore GCE as it relates to your program, life and future profession through discussions with your Learning Advisor. If necessary, your Learning Advisor can provide you with assistance in selecting appropriate artifacts for inclusion in your Portfolio, writing reflections and can refer you to useful resources.

Take your GCE Portfolio Tracking & Assessment Form with you when you meet with your Portfolio GCE Learning Advisor so together you can record the artifacts you have collected and the learning outcomes you have met.

GCE Portfolio "Course" on Your Blackboard

A "Course" entitled GCE Portfolio will appear on your Blackboard. This is not really an academic course you must attend. Rather this is a learning community through which your Learning Advisor will facilitate with you and your colleagues information that pertains to the GCE Portfolio.
